Here are my takeaways directly from their presentation:-US best cities for millennials-Most diverse city in the US-Best seaport in North America-#2 top metro for job growth-#1 best hospital for cancer-22 fortune 500 companies, 2nd to NY-3.1% unemployment-6 out of every 10 jobs in Texas will be added in Houston through the year 2040-Growing 4x’s faster than the US population-2nd fastest growing economy in America-The Texas Medical Center is the largest medical center in the world-21 hospitals-8 academic and research institution-21,000 physicians, scientists, and researchers-110,000 employees-170,000 operations annually-Upcoming $1.5B expansion that broke ground in 2019 and is expected to be completed in 20222-New campus is expected to have a $5.2B impact on Houston and create projected 30K new jobs-University of Houston-$1B planned expansion over the next 3 years-Located extremely close to the medical center and downtown-New $100M college of medicine scheduled to break ground in Spring 2020Basically, Houston is not all about oil and gas!!!

Of course that does not apply to law/medicine/engineering and a few select others.... 

If you can't hold on for long, then you probably have no other realistic option than sell and take your medicine, which is going to be pretty painful - you're going to have to recapture all that depreciation which means you'll have a hell of a tax bill at the end of all of this, outside of what you're losing. 

It would be great to have other people who are in a similar situation as me get connected in order to discuss any pros and cons to investing in real estate while in medical school/residency while educating those who are passionate about medicine and establishing financial freedom prior to becoming an attending physician. 

Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Red Deer, Grand Prairie are all decent sized and have their upside.

Sometimes the worst tasting medicine is best for people.

Many states have legalized marijuana not necessarily because it may serve a medicinal purpose....but its about money.

People need places to put their stuff so unless you are installing medicine cabinets, shelving and linen closets a pedestal sink is a drawback.

There is increasing job growth in manufacturing, education, and medicine. 

They have that expectation, and when they find out that this isn't the reality of the situation, they give up.What percentage of people who start medical school end up getting through medical school and getting their license to practice medicine?
