Share cropping with a retail farm stand/farmer's market is one, if it's the right kind of land in the right location. 

*the only reason I am not pursuing is because the home is located directly across from my current investment property and I'm looking to diversify my investment locations.

My job will be on the southside of Indianapolis, so for location wise that would be better, however obviously the north side seems to have more potential.

Especially for things like population growth/decline, economic trends etc.And what things do you recommend checking when trying to decide whether a location is a good place to invest.
