Even if the 2012 expenses listed are legitimate, I am thinking evidence of why the strip hasn't succeeded can be gleaned from data.

Still, you need to get good at gleaning the information from what they send you, quickly, so you can understand the current NOI, future NOI, and market cap rate.

I'll make a point of reading your story and hope to glean some advice from it.   

It seems from talking to several people and what information I have gleaned from looking at duplexes, they don't really appreciate well.  

Mostly it's a cheer leading session that seems eerily similar to the mid-2000's.All we can really glean from the Zillow data is that since 2009 (the time period of the study), appreciation showed the largest volume gains (not even percentage gains) in the 5 West Coast markets.  

I am new to really diving into real estate investing, but the more I study and I glean information from the likes of people on BP, I realize that REI is not a one size fits all.  

So I have a question (really more of an accounting question) but since many of you are shockingly savvy and have been involved in many deals i'm hoping to glean some wisdom from people who have maybe been down this road already or been involved in a deal of this nature.

Hey BPZillow seems like it could be a very useful tool for searching for real estate and gleaning a blind estimate for locations value and rental income.My question is, just how accurate are these "Zestimates"?

Also, I have not done this (yet) but have been looking into it for my next buy and hold acquisition, and this is what I've gleaned fro my research.
