@Alexander Phillips as all the others stated, look at the contract.I would especially look at any paragraph about the delivery of the property to you.Most of the time, it would say something about the property being delivered vacant.

STR during peak and MTR during offseason is probably a good way to maximize your rent.But I'm just adding my two cents on MTR when its the sole renting model that some people have.

They cut operations staff down to bare-bones, cancelled over 1,000 listings with no notice, and moved entirely to a revenue-share model (which is why they eliminated those 1,000 listings, as they were non-revenue share).
