@Russell Brazil What are your thoughts on the casino being built do you think the area is already bought out or do you think there might be an opportunity with all those employees to find rental units when it comes online?

I know overseas the government helps a lot and you don't need to have a massive amount down.My plan is to buy relatively cheap for my first time ($55k equivalent) with a 10% down.Everyday I try to browse online listings to start getting an idea as to how much apartments are costing, and to get better ideas as to what units cost in the different areas.All the best man, you are already better off than most people your age!

Plus there are several current and former military members on the site, so just browse thier Forum and blog posts to get some other insightsKen

I think  i found a new hobby to replace facebook browsing.

You won't be able to search for anything and browse, but a few daily emails in a large enough region will provide enough new listings to keep you busy.  

The bank doesn't care whether you lend the money to a LLC or whether you go to the casino and gamble it away - they do care about getting paid though.

Think about how many people don't have any qualms about dropping $100k on shares of Apple in the "Grand Casino".
