Would I be filing as "Wholesale Trade, Real estate/rentals leasing, education, information, professional/technical services, or "other"?

Regarding the stock market- While we like the returns in our portfolio we always hedge our bets and only purchase in round lots; then use a straddle strategy to sell covered puts and calls to day traders.

This is an REI forum and guess what the traders on another forum have to say about real estate? 

But you can buy a house with bitcoin as long as both parties agree on exchanging bitcoin for a property and there would be title company, title insurance and escrow company who are willing to handle Bitcoin transactions. 

Maybe this is the trader in me seeing this as an arbitrage. 

But, if you don't do this for a living, it isn't a material percentage of your taxable income, you don't expect to do it again any time soon, it's probably not a trader or business. 

But do you have enough knowledge/experience to be on the other side of a currency bet against, say, a currency-trader like George Soros? 

Two years later, strong rental demand and wild appreciation have made it the next best thing I've ever invested in from a returns perspective besides $AAPL, $TSLA and bitcoin. 

And I guess you'll have to figure out if your in it for long term investing for retirement/wealth, or if you're gonna try to be a day trader.

You may be eye-balling the stock market or bitcoin, but you know what they say: the grass is always greener on the other side!
