What type of battery storage do you plan for the solar?

My response was purely for rentals.

Curious if anyone has any strong preferences on this subject, or if this is purely a number/neighborhood choice for you all.Maybe I'm biased, but I've always favored SFHs in my analysis, but i'm wondering if I should take another look at MF.

Partner provides a purely financial input, downpayment for conventional mortgage, rehab costs, closing, holding costs. 

They generally have about a 75ft sensing range and can be additionally equipped with external battery and solar charger, so no AC power required.  

I believe that is one of the best ways to get started with investment properties because in most cases you can qualify for owner occupied financing which is more favorable than purchasing a pure investment property. 

I realize from a pure financial standpoint that may not be an optimal decision, but on the other hand if we have to put $2-3K over the next few years to buy OUR ultimate house, is that really a bad idea?

Because it's at a lower price point we hope that we could even pay it off sooner and collect $2K+ a month in pure cash flow.
