Sure I’m biased, but I think many would agree that when it comes to taxes and saving you money, industry specialization ought to trump geographic proximity.

I am aware of MA being a tenant-biased state, however I’ve decided to bite the bullet (at least for my first investment).

Additionally, real estate returns are biased in terms of the “dividends” (i.e. rent) rather than capital appreciation like in stocks.

Shouldn't cost more than a few hundred dollars for this type of evaluation.Also, an engineer has no bias - he/she gets paid the same whether or not there is a problem.

@Chris Seveney, in this case, even with equity and 7 years payments, we would attempt to acquire the CFD for less, but only because we believe there is a market bias against CFDs and many sellers would be prepared to discount.
