While I've made a modest living understanding the basics of technology and business, I have always known that corporate America isn't my long term calling.  

Many of these super-lister agents are older, and may not be awesome with technology.

Doing this has got me thinking about how the whole process works, and how little it has changed over time (e.g. commission structure, use of technology, etc.).

she is too lazy to learn technology, only uses a fax, not email, we emailed the counter to her on Th or FRI as we had verbalized to her, she calls this morning wondering where it is, the other agent was almost as bad, his agent, a contract attorney, countered with a 1/4/10 date and asked him to present on 1/4/10 (which was dumb considering it was a multiple counter- his agent was smart enough to get it over to us immediately, but in violation of his client's instructions, but smart to try to get the scored touch down), so then the attorney tells him to fix it, the guy is brain dead, so I have to tell him what to do... got to love them.

You may want to wait a few years before considering it, last time I read an article about it they were mentioning new technologies and manufacturing methods that will greatly reduce the cost of the panels.

In all of CA for example it’s difficult to find cash flow so a big percentage of CA investors invest out of state .With the internet and technology these days and resources lIke BP, it can be easier than say 20 years ago .. there was the internet but it wasn’t as advanced and not everyone was online like today .

Technology has enabled communication with a remote CPA through phone calls, emails, skype etc.

Technology negates most of my concerns regarding this.

Hey @Jonathan Klemm I am not really the most technologically savvy individual.

They have already started work on a multi-billion dollar plant in Plattsburgh, where they will use advanced industrial 3D printing technology to essentially print titanium parts for the aviation industry.Its a high-paying, high technology employer and when they are at full capacity it will be the biggest employer in the county with the exception of the hospital.
