So, this became the lenders' defense against assumptions and "subject-to" transactions.I'm thinking it would take rather a large - and potentially economically devastating - interest rate increase to justify the expense of tracking down and prosecuting title transfers such as are being discussed here.If there were really any money it, rest assured a savvy programmer - like me - could subscribe to the appropriate services, download the data and develop reports available to lenders for a fee to identify title transfers without lien changes which would enable the banks to find out about them and investigate for possible prosecution.
