I did not get incorporated which I should have so I am not sure if that strategy would work for me but I would like to hear more about it!

Not knocking anyone who invests in their personal name, but my plan was to incorporate right from the start. 

We're open to any direction anyone is willing to give us as to how best to get started, financing, networking, incorporating, purchasing, contracts, negotiating, wholesaling, etc.  

Luke Texidor That is a bold and unnecessary move, when you did an interview/walk the contractor, you should have a paper that will spell out what you want done, per room or per line item or both, that way, you will simply have him sign it and incorporate it to the contract.

I too was able to leave my career in corporate America thanks to bigger pockets but my story is a little different.

Exact ROI can be tricky to calculate I believe because RE ROI incorporates a variety of factors such as purchase price, rehab, loan pay down, appreciation, cash flow, exit strategy etc.  

I have worked in corporate America in the Steel and Auto industry for over 20 years in various roles from Design Engineer to Operations executive.

As a Canadian investing in the U.S.A. you will most probably want to have a Canadian Controlled Private Corporation (CCPC) and an entity incorporated in the U.S.A. which is a 100% owned subsidiary (child) of the Canadian corp.

If you can tough it out for 2-3 more years in corporate land earning a high salary I think you can at least double your cash flow and then quit.
