If you're going to work on base, there are some great places around Indian Head I would consider before Waldorf; 20 years ago a different story, but because of numerous "smart growth" initiatives without infrastructure upgrades including light rail, reality is it's really difficult to get around and the quality of life is better in the outskirts.
