Chicago has some of the strictest and over-the-top codes in the country, so it will be much different than other's numbers you get from here or read about online unless they are also in the Chicagoland area.

If your looking around Inglewood the 90047 zip code would be the next best thing, however I do not see any on market listings near that $500k price point.

A property of interest has 5 open code violations in reference to complaints made by a former tenant (rats, faulty electric, open walls etc) and 1 violation is due to incorrect carport setback and no permit.

It has several different zip codes and 06708 has been the favorable one.
