Have you spoken to other investors or perhaps property managers that are experienced selecting tenants in this area? 

I am actually just closing on my first property (SFH) in southern Idaho, near where I live.BTW; I've always used property managers, as my work keeps me away from home mush of the time.For you experienced investors out there, my question is this:  What advise do you have for an older investor looking to build a real estate portfolio?

My goal would be to avoid the family issues my two friends experienced when they rented to family members.

I’ll be leaving the re-position properties for the more experienced investors.

I really could use some feedback, and my intention is to get feedback from the more experienced members, on both sides of the equation, not to spam, or the like. 

What is more important than anonymity is working with an experienced attorney to form the entity, and asking a lot of questions about how to maintain the corporate shield once you are operating on your own.

Needless to say, I don't spend time with ppl less experienced than me, wanting to mainly see what they can get out of the interaction.
