Maybe putting two diapers on a baby is better protection but I simply do not see it as being necessary, warranted or practical.Again I believe the value, and there is value, is in having the faith in a LLC that it will protect.

My memory is that we stopped depreciating the side we lived in while we lived there.I'm still with that CPA as are a couple of friends/relatives I referred to the firm and even a now grown-up child who we brought home to that duplex as a baby many years ago....As your real estate interests grow, you'll probably want to  look for a tax professional as will @Craig Curelop's future book readers :-).Good luck!

Add in the student debt, baby boomers looking to move to urban environments and other pressing reasons for apartments, you have pretty sound logic.I will let a lender speak on the financing issues, but don't forget to look at the avenue of investing in projects being built, passively.
