@Austin Smith I think the key is to consistently market to your sphere of influence.  

Glad to see a few people who said that REI did in fact influence their decision to move (or stay) somewhere. 

The hospitality industry is the driving force of the economy in town, and it would be incredibly difficult to outmatch its political influence. 

If they are long term buy and holders they might check the last 5, 10, 15 years backwards and forwards and see if that influences them. 

I think BP has a powerful influence in changing the real estate investing industry.

And let me tell you, they don’t even talk about their influence on Vegas any more, but we have become California East.

Not to double kick this thing, but most new agents rely on their sphere of influence for their first 6-12 months, friends, family, etc.  

This gives a high level overview of potential areas.If based on this high level overview I believe this area may meet my criteria, I again reach out to the resources, used for the basis, and start evaluating neighborhoods and different criteria that influence how this high level data may be accurately or inaccurately appropriated.This information then goes into a separate database very similar to the first, but broken out by neighborhood and sometimes even by block.

I think it is a little overzealous to be throwing out ethics violation comments but your the Board's ethics committee so I can see how that influences things.If you'd like to talk about this further PM me so we can return the thread to the OP.
