Out of the area investing, especially if you are chasing cheap and do not know the market is a recipe for disaster.

@Chase Kimbrell Hi Chase, I am by no means an expert, but the areas near the airport and base do tend to be less than desirable.

One side note, I think it’s been mentioned already but it seems like you may have allowed yourself to get too emotionally attached to this deal early on and, as a result, chased it to a point of feeling financially married to it.

Chase Bank sent me a notification basically saying "hooray you're preapproved for a 75k home loan".

Next time they screw something up, someone might end up owing you money and you're gonna be in the position of having to chase them down. 

I have been happy so far with Chase for most regular banking (personal and business).
