@Noel Dixon The most overlooked thing I see when people talk about assumable mortgages is that, if you can get approved by the lender holding the mortgage, you will need to bring the difference between the loan and purchase price in cash.

The liability issue concerns me, but I’m thinking with a trust holding each property limits it to just that property.

It’s an alternative, and not necessarily a good one, to capital call or foreclosure.I think that as a community we need to hold all syndicators accountable to outcomes for investors, yes, but also we need to be practical about what the right thing to do is.A few syndications have handed the keys back, for nearly total wipeouts.
