In the Carr Fire, my customer was evacuated for 2 weeks and knew they had a home to go back to as they could monitor their production from their solar system so knew the roof was still there.

But there's no easy solution- the plutocracy will always have the resources to outwit the IRS.  

A good property management company is worth the money you spend on them to attend to your tenants, monitor renewals, stay up to date on legal updates and allow you the freedom to focus on your life and goals. 

It simply protects them while they are managing your property.Another benefit: they can monitor to ensure your home is properly insured.

Bigger Pockets has some great state forums and usually there are good locals that monitor those.

I could still do carbon straps on my walls for $8K, just incase they want to bow in the future....but...from everything I can see....this would be the best and cheapest solution.

I eventually stopped the service and just left them plugged in so people thought there was noise monitoring in place lol.
