These are the most difficult transactions for an experience RE Agent or wholesaler. 

I would personally try to find an investor-friendly agent who also owns investment properties. 

A lender may want all properties insured by the same company with the same renewal date, so you may need to adjust things and see your agent before applying for a blanket mortgage simply to know what the costs will be. 

That includes real estate agent, title preferably owned by attorney, seasoned STR property manager etc. 

I'm looking forward to networking, and meeting like-minded individuals, maybe future partners, lenders, agents, contractors, etc.

Yes there are must haves... but there are federal, state, county, and city laws that you need to know.

I tried having real estate agents show the property to prospective tenants (wasn't comfortable giving folks access remotely) but they didn't make much money to they would flake as well.

We are working with an agent who has provided us some of his connections and is very helpful.
