My husband and I are new to BP and rental property investing.

Like a lot of new investors you are probably feeling pressure to acquire real estate which can unfortunately lead to bad investment decisions.

I’m new to real estate but have a background in project management. 

This allows you to refinance your mortgage, take out a new loan, and pull out the equity as cash.

Pause.This new era would rather buy into a guru, a program, an app, or anything in between or something similar to do this work for them.

I am looking to purchase a multi-family home, outside of New York due to tenant-landlord issues here (really the fear of it). 

A key note is that I am a framer for new construction and also have all the subcontractors.

Then if you are only looking for cosmetic flips then you limit your targets and increase competition because every wannabe HGTV, realtor, interior designer, contractor, handyman is looking for the same easy flip.Its doable but lots of strategy and organization, hustle. 

I'm new here.

Instead of gutting a kitchen and making it all new, I would rather look for the easiest way to work with what I have.
