When you do the walk through of the house (assuming you can get access), looking at equipment in the house should be done every time.

Depending on the GC using an AIA agreement/draw process they might not be equipped to handle the diligence that requires (which should be a huge red flag to begin with- just a formal way to track actual invoices and make sure nothing shady is going on). 

I wanted a place to go south, jump on a plane when I could and not have to haul golf clubs, recreational equipment and clothes, but rent it out when I couldn't use it (if I choose to).  

Also get a lot of guest compliments on how well-equipped the listings are.

I've been driving F-250 trucks with equipment trailers down these alleys to get to the lot, so you have an idea of scale...the city also sends its trash truck down these alleys to pick up the resident's garbage bins, as another indicator of their size.

Its expensive because they have all the proper equipment, licenses and insurance for that kind of business. 

I have never had a bank willing to modify any of my equipment loans, nor should they.
