Connections in San Antonio are pretty slim, so if you have any plumbers/electricians/handymen in the area, that would be greatly appreciated! 

I'm confident I can buy the house from her for $130,000 and it will need approximately $50 - $60,000 in repairs (I would be doing some myself and hiring a roofing contractor, plumber and electrician for the serious stuff).  

Electricians and plumbers have been my biggest headache so far (especially plumbers).A family member got burned badly by real estate in the late 70s (by an ex husband who was terrible at it) so right now I'm mostly hearing "you're making a huge mistake."

Hello All, I am in need of an electrician to help me on a few side jobs and potentially some larger projects. 

How necessary is it to go with a licensed electrician?  

The electrician said he could have a new company to do the 3rd inspection.

Hello I am newbie, Electrician and home inspector.

If you have an electrician doing a new panel and rough-in, my contract will note he gets paid when it is inspected he gets X dollars.

However the rest are open ground which a licensed electrician said suggests that they may still be running on old wires and that there may still be knibs and tubes. 

In your case you have to weigh the cost of your time ie: I paid four contractors an electrician, roofer, carpet and window.
