@Mei ZhuThe biggest thing I didn't see on here is to cover your windows so people can't look inside and see it's sitting vacant.

There are many buildings with systems reaching the end of their life - Galvanized hot water risers, leaking vent stacks, aging window systems, outdated elevator and fire safety equipment.

That's over 8% right there out the window.

I got a 5 month window from them in part because they don't want the owner to start advertising it for rent or having potential renters go by the home.

For example I’ve got to add a basement egress window and I’ve just gotten 2 estimates, one for $20K and the other for $23K.
