Of course we knew that.I get the message, too much deficit spending, unemployment is up - way up, illegal immigration is an issue that needs to be addressed on a national issue, people lack healthcare and are dying as a result of late entry to care, the dollar is crap and we keep pouring money into wars that we will never win.

The problem is that China's economy is on a trajectory that is going to make it much larger than ours (unless we allow massive immigration) and we will simply not be able to match it beyond the next two or three decades.I think a good strategy for us right now would be to make multilateral institutions much stronger and also form stronger alliances with countries around China.
