The AC condensation pipe got clogged and overflowed.

A kitchen with exhaust hood costs more...but is the exhaust hood worth it? 

One example for sure was that there were no exhausts over either of the stoves in the units and that was a big thing for me because I cook food on a daily basis.

What does your state/county say about hability standards and temperature because a nest thermostat may help you all pay utilities if they are in your name, don't go below or under the legal limit and don't risk your pipes. 

This is a complete gut job, so everything from the pipes up is new. 

Shingles, 6x6 floor tiles, pipe insulation, countertops.  

The vast majority of time what one get's is a big reoccurring operational expense to match, negating the whole pipe-dream of that big cash-flow. 

You also want them to explain which parts are working fine so that you know they checked all the sensors, blower capacitor, blower motor, exhaust motor, and burner.
