One things certain, it will not devalue the property, so if you have the funds to do it now, I'd do it. 

I also think a lot of the appreciation in the market is just a devaluation of the Dollar and I think that trend has a fair way to go.

The wildcard is inflation, because if we continue to de-value the dollar, home prices have to nominally go up with inflation just to retain value. 

Real estate investing is really investing in debt (another way to look at it is betting on the devaluation of the US dollar) the more irresponsible the government is the richer you get.  

I think real estate investing right now is less about the value of real estate increasing and more about the devaluation of the dollar. 

What I see with condos is, besides pesky HOA's , cranes that can throw up loads of bright and shiny new asset devaluing inventory.To reiterate the most truthful of those solid truthbombs.

It can lead to costly repairs, property devaluation, and potential health hazards.

I have doubled down on the government pushing policies that will devalue money and I standby that today (although there has been a bump in that road the last year or so). 

Earning money in Argentine pesos it's the same as throwing money in the trash for the consistent devaluation and inflation (today 1 US dollar is 120 pesos in the black market)..I think there is no reason to invest here if you are from USA, unless you are interested in having a property for personal use, Argentina is full of beautiful places but i think that is better to invest your time, analysis and money in another more profitable market..

The US Government is going to continue spending like crazy thereby devaluing the dollar and driving up inflation.
