Hello all, i just received the report back from the lab concerning a possible rehab project.

Meth Lab ConcernsMy biggest concern these days is discovering a meth lab in an investment property.The last time I checked, there is no insurance coverage to protect an investor from the costs and loss.

The successful bidder was initially delighted to find the Maserati in the garage, once owned by the former house owner who had a substance abuse (aka "living better thru chemistry") problem. 

They are not like meth labs with traces of harmful chemicals, etc.

Take it easy, it's pot not a meth lab.

If I was going to operate a meth lab I would pay my rent a year in advance in the hopes the landlord never comes by.

This is a former meth lab/earthship/mining cabin that has been abandoned since the owner died 5 years ago. 

I know during college there are times I switched room with others, just because one semester I am staying at the engineering lab late at night all the time, and instead of waking everyone up at 3am when I come home, I offered to move to the front bedroom and the other guy moves to the back. 

If no mortgage, worst case would be you can't get tenants in the house, it gets destroyed in a way insurance won't cover it (meth labs), you can't make the tax payments or whatever the case may be.
