I am having trouble finding a few prospective assets for my team one of which is an investor friendly mortgage lender in the Minneapolis and surrounding cities area here in Minnesota.

Not sure what market you are referring to, but Minneapolis, Indy, Columbus, etc are building thousands of new units per year.

My business partner lives in the Minneapolis area so we were thinking about getting into short term rental properties in the Dells/Lake Delton area (pretty close to a middle ground area). 

And is this only for the City of Minneapolis proper or for the surrounding suburbs as well?

I don't remember entirely as I picked that part up from the free landlord seminar the city of minneapolis puts on every month and the one I went to was quite a while ago.

i found it the best way to get to know a contractor.Then ask to see an ongoing project he has, if not ask before and after photos, the SOW and even if he can some invoices will be great.The last thing is your filing, if over the phone you feel like you do not have a good conversation move on.if your flip is in Minneapolis i have a good one there DM me. i

My other rental is in an attractive neighborhood in Minneapolis and has been a breeze.This low income rental has been quite a bit more work.
