. - we have done mainly stuff like doing Facebook and Adwords ads where we are able to customize their strategy a bit more than some of the "big" national providers - we have set up follow up email funnels - retargeting etc. - and I think the real estate agent market as a whole is one of the tougher ones I have ever worked in.It seems to me you have a small group of agents who are spending a LOT of money on marketing (ie $10-20k or more a month) and then the vast majority of the rest are spending very little to nothing on marketing programs (+/-$500-$1000/month) - typically waiting on referrals or leads generated by the agency they are associated with . . . . so a lot of feast or famine . . .

Other than direct mail, we do:1) Pay-per-click (Google Adwords, search marketing)2) Add your business to "Google My Business" - this makes you show up ON THE MAPS.https://www.google.com/business/3) Outdoor - electronic billboards are more affordable for RE investors4) Door hangers and Post-It Notes5) Car wraps - way more effective than simple car magnets6) Sponsoring events where we get a booth with banner, etc.7) In markets where allowed - Bandit Signs8) Flyers on cars in parking lots...

@Rick Jones - I just posted a few blog posts about SEO that may help you or your VA.And in my opinion, for $400 you could probably get 200 very targeted visitors to your website using Google AdWords or some other form of pay per click advertising.I don't see you having that kind of conversion rate from restaurant placemats.

We're working a few strategies, including improving my Investor Carrot websites, mailing postcards (EDDM), some bandit signs, and will be trying to do some google adwords soon.My assistant also helps me with my receipts.
