Part of considering acquiring a property should include additional possibilities.

I'm new to real estate investing, but have thrown myself into learning as much as I can by joining a Veteran based investment community, have been working with my realtor and looking daily for potential multi family properties in the Dallas area for house hacking, which I've set myself an deadline to be completed by May.

You are not going to buy land and put in a mobile home and the lender in 6 months will consider it a single family home.

One major things to consider that many newer investors miss with 5+ units, is that if you intend to hold, the property will need to be at least 75% occupied and stabilized before you will be able to find reasonable financing terms.

If you stage, consider a virtual stage.  

Are you still considering building more of a portfolio or are you happy with where you're at and you just wanna pay off the debt?

Consider that an advantage you have over most others.
