If he lived in a rural area, he would have a better chance of getting away with it.And at yet another property in a small rural town that did not have public sewer, the occupants of one such property were using plastic grocery bags for their human waste and putting it out for the trash men and women.And at another house that was occupied by a hoarder, she even was hoarding her own personal waste.I've seen and smelled a lot, but there are still surprises around the next corner, I'm sure.The codes people view no utilities as a health and safety issue.

No, they’re usually actually decent human beings, and if you are HONEST with your taxes, and keep a good audit trail [you keep good books], and have good records/receipts – guess what – when you are audited … they’ll review everything, say thanks, and it’ll be over with nice & quick.

Or maybe there is something I overlooked, like evidence of a divorce, which then triggers a requirement to provide a divorce decree, which could indicate you owe alimony every month, which trashes your DTI and causes your loan to be denied.Basically it is a check against me overlooking something like that, and gets it in front of the actual decision making human underwriter for a thumbs up with conditions, or (very unlikely) a thumbs down.For the record the last time I preapproved someone and the deal didn't close for creditworthiness reasons was about a year ago, and it was because the SSN check came back revealing that the person was an illegal immigrant using a dead person's SSN.
