There is too much room for incentives to pad the bill. 

Probably one with a pad attached if it's a multi family unit. 

I'd just give her advice on talking to them to try to get them to waive it due to the leak, but ultimately its her problem.You already "gave the mouse a cookie" by paying part of her bill so she will likely try to be entitled to think you owe the rest, stand firm and don't pay anything more.

The following items should NEVER be flushed into the sewer system: Disinfecting/surface wipes Mop or “Swiffer” type refills Baby/ Adult wipes Paper towels Jewelry wipes Pet care wipes Cosmetic wipes First Aid wipes Disposable diapers or diaper liners Bio-pads (nursing home, home health care, etc.)

Then you may end up replacing the pad even though you've cleaned the carpet.

@Al Pat definitely on hot pads - I have noticed that it’s sprung up in popularity recently.

I had a lot of this gel so I put it all over the sticky pads that are strategically placed throughout the house and garage.

However, if you have hardwoods, I wouldn't think stapling down padding would be a good thing.

Had someone out here to fix it ASAP and was able to get new flooring padded in as well.
