I also read the Richest Man in Babylon and am about to start The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind.

I'd take PMI if I secretly know there are buried diamonds in the backyard, or someone that just won the lottery grew up in this home and I knew they'd pay top dollar to get it... you get the idea.

It won't be a secret from a buyer.

When articles about Reno's housing crisis appear in the Wall St Journal, you know the secret is out. 

careful of out of state folks offering you secret financing.. this is a local HML deal all the way. someone who does not need an appraisal will do their own drive by walk through and pull the trigger. 

One that deserves recognition is Steven Gesis's post "Secrets Everyone needs to know about using a 203k loan".

I'm wondering all the time why people tell there secrets and tell people how to do what they do.

Just remember, there are no secrets and shortcuts in real estate investing, just slow and steady progress.
