However, if you have ever bought a house at auction (@Hal Thompson has so I'm sure he'll concur), or seen the inside of a just foreclosed house before the bank has had it cleaned out - well, there are lots of owner occupants (not just renters) living in conditions that are similar, and attributing the situation to substance abuse is just stereotyping and might not be quite true.

During a divorce there's a gray period where you're still legally married but living separate lives and you can't control other people's actions.

In a case where it's in that gray area, follow your gut, and don't look back.BTW, for future reference:  an attorney is trained to only say "NO", they will never say "YES".

Something hardwood-like, and in a traditional color that won't be outdated any time soon, like natural wood and not the latest gray colors that are already outdated.I guess think about if you were buying, what you'd be looking for that would matter more to you now, and other things that you would be willing to deal with later.For so many people who have pets, hardwood flooring matters the most. 

Maybe a warm mid tone brown color or medium gray color.

Oh, and I really don't like the new popular gray-ish colored hardwood-type flooring. 

If you are going dark for the final paint then tinting the primer dark gray is important otherwise every chip/scratch has the potential to show the underlying white. 3.

There's not a lot of gray area there.

I'm up there in years now and I've seen fads come and go, and have dealt with different landscape issues and pests and dust flingers and accent walls, and many different types of decor and colors that all went out of style almost as quickly as the stainless steel appliances and gray walls went up....oh, I meant avocado green, no wait, I meant gray and stainless steel are the new avocado green....Anyway, if you want to go with timeless and save money in the long run, you can't go wrong with white and clean, in my opinion.
