Hi Brian,I would not go meet with them alone. you may want to consult with an attorney before and depending have them handle it, and or go to dept of health with you.

If you feel as though you're being "screened out" by brokers who do not want to split a commission, maybe it would be best to create a consultative type agreement with a buyers broker where they will operate in the background and will earn a pre-determined fee once you close on a transaction.

You don't need an attorney to close the deal (at least in my state), but you may want to consult one to make sure all your ducks are in a row...I did many a time!
