Cynthia Oistad a tax assessment isn’t a good way to value a property so make sure you get a CMA from a realtor or something similar to get a good idea to what value is.Secondly I would explore the option to 1031 exchange into a larger property.

I would say, unless something drastic happens, most towns with a decent-sized tourism industry should be a bit safer, so long as they are not limited to seasonal tourism.
