I have actually been to Than's company's workshop before.

However, I've attended several workshops and heard 14+ different ideas on running comps.

Where I am today (our RealeFlow workshop) has limited bandwidth and there are 100 or so people sharing the network.The structure he uses in the class - and all subsequent discussions - is as I suggested: based on a trust, (at least one) S-Corp for operating company, LLCs for property holding companies.

I did attend a one day workshop in Dallas put on by Chris Voss and the Black Swan Group Sept 7, 2018.

Imagine my poor father's surprise while working in his workshop in the room below as the temperatures outside rose into the 90s and our "toilet" baked in the heat.

We use to do a full day workshop about investing out of state or your own backyard and had it professioanlly recorded and edited.

I'm going to give it a shot and make a list from this to see if it works, hopefully it wont be a waste of time, but at least it will be educational! 

Perhaps a weekend workshop could be put on by people like yourself and @Jay Hinrichs and others from BP to help novices learn from real professionals.
