The podcast and webinars are fantastic.

I too am in Los Angeles and currently consuming books, taking advantage of BP webinars and podcasts, and reading blogs.  

If I was in your shoes, I would start going through the Biggerpockets podcast and webinar archive and finding episodes that our geared towards beginners and the tips for networking, building a core group of contacts, and learning the fundamentals of finding and analyzing deals. 

Hey, I was really looking forward to watching this weeks webinar as my first, and once the time was up it for the countdown all traces of it disappeared, I was signed up and now I'm really confused as to how I'm supposed to watch it.

I hear the podcasts ,all the time and webinars where they are saying markets like the one in NYC are harder and it is better to invest out of state.

Hi All, have been ardently reading BP forums, listening to podcasts and webinars  and think I am ready to take the plunge into investing in a rental property.

Read books, go to Webinars, look at YouTube videos, ask questions, etc. 

He's been on that webinar twice that Brandon and Josh do and that is what got me started to listening to him on YouTube.
