No different than a car - Could be a mode of transportation, a weapon, a hobby, a status symbol, a family heirloom, etc...A primary house when used correctly could be a wealth generator, safe place, home business, community gathering place or it could be a financial drag, a source of stress, etc...Depends on the user and how it's used

Might be better to replace it with an icon that actually says menu as I would suspect that a fair number of your target market might not know what that symbol even means.

Also when do the @ symbol a little box should pop up with the person's picture.

If they give you the heebie-jeebies, trust your gut.A teardrop near the eye is supposed to symbolize having killed someone.

True, but if a share drops and remains under for a year or more like STWD - its dead and non-performing money until it comes back up to cost price.I understand about the non-traded REITs that their underlying assets may lose value, though.That is one view of the asset; that STWD is a ticker symbol that moves up and down on a screen based on how many people buy or sell it. 

Of course it has, well, the Carrie, a historic, omnipresent symbol of American technological excellence.
