But since I will only be taking a small mortgage on the property (and possibly no mortgage at all), if I assign it to a corp, I am in essence giving away my asset, ready to be stolen via litigation.

I had my car stolen twice and was mugged three times, once in Grosse Pointe and once at gunpoint where my companion was shot and badly injured.

The car runs great, and I don't have to worry about it getting hit or stolen either ;) I do make some personal sacrifices to fund my deals, but totally worth it IMHO.

My A class in  MS is in Madison and it   runs like a champ never had a house trashed ( can't tell you how many I have had trashed in C class) never had a condenser unit stolen ( can't count how many I have replaced over the years in C class Caged or not). 

That one time something gets stolen, the door is left unlocked, they track mud on the carpet, or they give the code out, or whatever, you'll wish you never did this.What I have done is, once I had a few hours, on average, of busywork per week, I hired an assistant--simple as posting an ad under Jobs.  

I would hate to see you put in brand new copper piping and have it all stolen overnight.

Just run your numbers as if you didn't know the guy.Not everybody has to squeeze every dime out of every deal, he might have stolen the house and honestly likes the people.
