Within a residence there is a presumed right to privacy and installing cameras by you or your tenants can bring you legal issues.  

The property I purchased was having some capitalexpenditure issues (not HomeRoom's fault at all) and the team did a phenomenaljob helping me navigate through it.Also, whenever Ihave had an issue with how things are handled, they are responsive andattentive to my concerns.

I'd check local zoning ordinances to see what is permitted.

My issues with RentRedi have not risen to the level requiring immediate action.

However, the biggest con is that you are sacrificing a bit of your privacy by living right by your tenants and it is usually a lot more stressful since everything is your responsibility - managing tenant issues, handyman repairs, taking care of the lawn, etc.I would strongly recommend house hacking especially in the Columbus Ohio market!
