I’ve met soo many OOS investors who lost money buying D class houses, someone sold them as B class.The ones who have success from out of state without coming talk to at least 10+ locals who really know the market to triangulate their information.

Thanks Sarah, I don’t see much house hacking going on in Essex or Dundalk in terms of listings on Zillow or FB so my concern would be finding professional adult roommates that want to house share in that area. i’ve been following a lot of the midterm rental groups in Facebook and the consensus is that contracts have decreased significantly and hospitals are using more local labor pools.

Just be sure to check local regulations because some spots are cracking down on STRs.

Thank you for the run down on the eviction, I found a local attorney and she filed for me last week and told me it will take 7-8 weeks.

From what I’ve seen in Bloomberg, it also doesn’t hurt to keep tabs on any shifts in local buying trends.One more thing I’d consider is the exit strategy.
