Jeff:We acquired a duplex early on which would stand as the example to disprove your hypothesis ;-)That said, it serves its purpose as a "test bench" of sorts to teach myself how to make older (Victorian in this instance) buildings somewhat energy efficient.George:Congratulations, this one appears to have a few quirks to make it interesting.

The outlier we acquired only because we paid very little for it and it had en-suite laundry (the "draw" amenity).So the other direction from Peter Street ... not the old Victorian on Campbell?

@Roy N.There are quite a few 100+ year old Victorians in the downtown SLC, UT area.

Went under contract at $275K, for a Victorian-turned office space--5 bd 2 ba.

That one deal then enabled us to take down a beautiful Victorian multifamily that we live in today.

I typically like renovated Victorians, Craftsman or quality-built modern, "green" homes.  

Some like to buy a Victorian house by SJSU and rent out the rooms, basement. 

One home we saw is 4,000sq/ft beautiful Victorian style on a few acres with a 900sq/ft in-law suit with all new appliances, hardwood and private entrance. 

Victorians are pretty trendy, especially with some millennials.

This is for a fixer upper of an old Victorian 5 bed (electrical, plumbing, painting, siding etc).
