For apartment buildings, we take out the concrete stairs, install 3 inch x 12 inch thick stair treads and we bend aluminum diamond plate over the 3 x 12's.

If it's aluminum or vinyl, or even wood, you are in good shape. 

Aluminum wiring throughout (pigtailed or coalr outlets as disclosed).

The real estate plan is working, I have been holding a couple of apartment buildings in southeastern Wisconsin for 7 years and they have appreciated in value. 

Watch out for aluminum wire if it was built in the 60's.

Unexpected problems (in you can determine it was the contractors fault you Try to get them to pay for that, if they find mold, asbestos, rot, lead plumbing, aluminum wiring or anything that is structural you pay for it)2.
