I've been around houses/building/construction my entire life and a weekend of painting and polishing floors sounds relaxing to me. 

I polish and repaint, pay attention to curb appeal and all those things that bring in great tenants. 

It took neighbors, an attorney, and the police showing up to court after every imaginable delay to get this person out of the house.

Those are the usual wealth suckers of those that earn a good income but have no money.You the thread police on this topic, Skylar?

Seems they are trying to police this a bit more than in the past, they don't want people getting FHA loans without the intent to live in the property. 

The amount owed is about $2800.I filed a report with the police department. 

He is a retired police officer with his money in his credit union collecting maybe 1%.

All it takes are a couple of calls from neighbors to the police complaining or drug use (true or not true) and your landlord will have a record of police runs to your address with complaints of drugs.

Tenants will never care about how you were on your hands and knees polishing those wooden floors caressing them with all your love.. and bloody palms.On the other hand, in a low income house you really do not NEEEEED to put in hardwood floors.

And of course the housing police, social rights activists etc.
