Im looking into starting a real estate investing business when I move out In Boca Raton or Tampa Bay. 

@AJ Singh I live in the bay area and can not afford to invest in the area.

We want a Mobile Home on the bay but still a close walk to the beach because we want water front but cant afford Ocean front.

I recently purchased my first property which happened to be a commercial property that has, among other things, a 2 bay automotive repair shop/inspection station.

It's 2 properties, single family homes, in the SF Bay Area.Sharing some details that might help inform the decision, let me know if anything else would be relevant.One property fully paid off, generates between $20-30k in profit after expenses (property taxes, hoa, insurance, etc).The other property is our current primary residency and would operate at a loss of about $10k/year.I plan to travel back to the US at least once a year, could that be a deductible expense with an LLC? 

I currently have a property in the Bay Area that has around 250k(with HELOC) or 350k if I sell it.

And the Bay Area SFH?

Combined my wife and I make around $270,000 which sounds like a lot but in the SF Bay area its barely getting by.

I'm in the Tampa Bay area and the market is still going strong.
