Now that Trump won the election, I wanted to get a discussion going about what potential impact this could have on towns along the Rio Grande Valley like McAllen, and Brownsville, Texas.The population growth in these towns has been great over the years making it a worthwhile investment.

I think there's a good chance that we will see little movement from the FED to see how the economy reacts to their last cuts and to see how the incumbent president's policies impact the country.

One of the primary issues is the impact of rent control policies.

Commercial MF decline is already impacting, in my market, non-commercial MF.  5) not everyone has the ability, desire and/or time for active investments. 6) syndications provide easy means to diversify   This includes geographical, asset class, and value add.  

It is big impact on short stays and less impact on longer stays.

The LLC will have zero impact on lending.

There are several things here -1. 3-4 unit properties require a self-sufficiency test, which could impact your down payment requirements as that could change the max loan amount that they can lend on.
