There are also various RE groups SDRE, NSDRE, SDCIA (I am a member), STRA (I donated before they had membership ($5k) so I think they should make me a member but have not done anything to try to make it happen) among others.

You may be able to donate it to the city as a park or something similar, however there are often good reasons that are not immediately obvious as to why a lot isn't buildable.
