There were several instances of homes with CSST piping being struck by lighting and the CSST piping contributing to a house burning down. 

We did find that in the lease, the seller promised several repairs to the tenant including a new appliance, door, and lighting fixtures.

If I was her advisor or her relative, I would caution her against taking this risk.Finally, the warning your received on depreciation recapture is incorrect.

Personal growing should not be an issue, a room full of lights and fans could be one.

The garage is enclosed and basically a bedroom, there is HVAC lighting closet , separate door etc, but no window.

It just so happens my experience with section 8 has been horrible-- stereotypes exist because people are really like that, not everyone.. but some are.. she is incredibly rude, verbally abusive to us,  constantly complaining,  quick to say she is going to sue us--and gosh, it's everything people warn you about-- I got!   

New siding, new floors, a busted pipe, water damage and insurance, fresh paint, landscaping, light fixtures, blinds... you name it, it's been done.

I talked with my mortgage broker, and he was hesitant to give me the green light due to the costs/fees associated with this plan.
